Your dreams should not cause trouble to others. You need to think about your responsibilities that you need to fulfill as a parent or as a spouse and the bills that you need to pay even if you quit your high-paying job. If you have a dream, chase it, but not at the cost of others’ happiness. People often fail to consider the consequences of quitting a job that helped them pay their bills and contribute to the family income. So before making the move, make sure that you have some financial cushion to support your family for at least six months or a year.

Take small and gradual steps
Bear in mind that no one can achieve their dream in a day and moving from a full-time job to chasing your dream is a transition and not an overnight thing. Suppose you want to launch your startup or want to be a full-time blogger, you can start working towards it in evenings and on weekends and continue your job that earns you sufficient money. There may be a possibility that you need to learn some specific skills or course before you start working towards your goal. So, you can study part-time while doing a full-time job or you can start working on your goal if you already have the required knowledge and skills.
Sometimes there’s no need to leave your job at all
Every time, it is not necessary that you can chase your dreams only by quitting your job and starting your own thing. Sometimes, you can find a job that will help you chase your dream even when you are employed. Suppose you want to help the society, you can do that even by taking up a job with a not for profit organization. Thus, you can stay employed as well as get your dream career.
