Seated in Style: Workers Pick the Most Desirable American Offices to Work From

A new survey on the most desirable offices to work from found Bloomberg’s New York headquarters topping the list, an ode not just to the company’s reputation this time, but its dedication towards building a space where employees want to come in every day.

Times picked NVIDIA as America’s Best Company this year, while Glassdoor picked Crew Carwash as the Best Place to Work in 2026. Many lists cover the best places to work in terms of culture and compensation, but what about the physical appeal of going to work in a place that cinches its corporate appeal in the right spot? The return of in-person work has made workplaces relevant again, forcing workers to don their suits or their corporate casuals and step out of their homes with a sigh. The infrastructure of an organization may not be the ultimate metric of how enthusiastic employees are to come into work, but a pleasant, comfortable, and creatively designed office space can make the endeavor more appealing for most.

Working In Style: Listing the Most Desirable Offices to Work from Across America

Office envy is real, and many workers care about the complete experience of working their jobs to truly feel like they’ve made it. Of course, the pay, benefits, and overall experience of working the job matter more than any other surface-level consideration, but this does not discount the value of a carefully-planned, well-located office space.

Resume.io recently surveyed 3,005 workers to find out which company workplaces were the most desirable offices to work from for employees, if location wasn’t an issue. They were asked to leave out considerations of salary, perks, company culture, or employee reputation to pick the best or ideal places to work from.

Their survey revealed some interesting responses. The top ten most desirable offices to work from include:

  • Bloomberg Headquarters, New York, NY
  • PGA TOUR Global Home, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
  • Servco Pacific Headquarters, Honolulu, HI
  • Google St. John’s Terminal, New York, NY
  • TikTok USDS Joint Venture, Scottsdale, AZ
  • Hilton Grand Vacations Offices Hawaii Operations Hub, Honolulu, HI
  • Patagonia Headquarters, Ventura, CA
  • Bridgestone Americas Headquarters, Nashville, TN
  • Hawaiian Airlines Corporate Headquarters, Honolulu, HI
  • Amazon Spheres, Seattle, WA

The Best Places to Work Are Often the Ones That Offer the Most to Employees

The top ten picks on this list make it here for varying reasons. Some offer stunning views that allow employees to feel on top of the world, while others offer well-planned layouts to allow workers to really feel like a part of a team. Some reflect their brand image and identity perfectly, not just to the outside world but to its internal forces, while others allow employees to escape from the corporate grind by merely taking a step outdoors.

There are many ways to make a workplace work for the employees, even if company budgets don’t entirely reflect those of Google or Amazon. When employers take away remote work privileges from employees, it helps to replace the experience with something that makes it worth their time.

Beautiful buildings, great views, walkable neighborhoods, and thoughtfully designed spaces can certainly make the office feel more inviting and give employees something to look forward to. But employers shouldn’t assume attractive surroundings alone will entice people back,” Amanda Augustine, resident career expert for resume.io and a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), explained in the report.

Many employees have grown accustomed to the flexibility and convenience of remote work, so organizations need to think more broadly about how they’re creating value through the office experience,” she added.

The best offices aren’t always the ones that showcase the most grandiose designs, although that does occasionally help. Instead, the best places to work from are the ones that cater to the needs of the workers with things they cannot access at home. This can range from ergonomic, flexible seating options and top-notch equipment that allow them to work with ease, to in-person skill development sessions, unofficial meeting spaces, generous cafeterias, and other benefits that complete the experience of coming to work.
